Lauryn Hill may be out of debt sooner than we think.
The Legendary Fugee singer racked up a hefty IRS debt of $968,000 and could land herself a warm seat in prison if half isn't paid. However, Ms Hill must be breathing a sigh of relief as she moves toward fixing a sticky situation.
The singer recently struck a new deal with Sony Music. Under the new deal, Lauryn Hill will be launching a new label which, will contain all her upcoming new music and albums.
Hill addressed the situation via her Tumblr account in an open letter, this is what she wrote: "It has been reported that I signed a new record deal, and that I did this to pay taxes. Yes, I have recently entered into an agreement with Sony Worldwide Entertainment, to launch a new label, on which my new music will be released. And yes, I am working on new music."
