Yes folks not only can smokers benefit from the “cloud 9 getting high,” feeling they experience from smoking Marijuana, as recent studies have found this drug to be quite useful for controlling blood sugar levels.

According to new research, which was published in the American Journal of Medicine Marijuana users are less likely to be obese, have a lower risk for diabetes and have lower body-mass-index measurements. The naturalized herb which was “found on the grave of King Solomon” has the potential to become the new incline or at least be used in diabetic medicine. Why not? Cocaine is a more dangerous drug yet it is still used in some medicines and by dentist, marijuana should be treated no differently as the drug has it’s pros and cons.

"The most important finding is that current users of marijuana appeared to have better carbohydrate metabolism than non-users," says Murray Mittleman, an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and the lead author of the study. "Their fasting insulin levels were lower, and they appeared to be less resistant to the insulin produced by their body to maintain a normal blood-sugar level."
