One man might go free while the other stays in jail to await his faith.
This seems to be the order of the say as we continue to follow the Vybz Kartel‘s murder trial story.
Kartel‘s protégé Shawn Storm will return to court on June 10th where he is expected to be released on bail. Once freed he would become the second accused to be out on bail, while Vybz Kartel remains incarcerated until his new trial date in November. Moonie was released on bail earlier this year and has maintained his innocence.
Though it may seem a bit unfair that other co accused are let out on bail while others remain incarcerated, Kartel’s new attorney Tom Tavares-Finson has requested additional information from the Supreme court in relation to his bail application earlier this year.
If all goes well, his bail application could be reviewed with positive feedback, thus allowing the World Boss to be out on bail along with his co accused.
Kartel, born Adidja Palmer, is jointly charged along with Shawn “Storm” Campbell, Shane Williams, Kahira Jones, Stylist Calvin “Moonie” Haye, and Andre St John for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams”.
According to police report, Vybz Kartel and his co-accused beat Clive Williams to death at a home in Havendale in August 2011 over a missing firearm. Williams’ body has never been found.
